Meet Ben King, one of New Zealand’s few surviving original pioneers of experimenting with Tropical and unusual Fruit Trees and Crops. From importing starfruit in 1977 from Oz, to today's family nursery, Ben's mission is to provide healthy trees to successful growers across New Zealand.

The Beginning - 1977
Young Ben with his first tropical fruit experiments. Even then, his dedication to understanding what tropical plants needed in New Zealand's unique climate was evident.

Working with Greenhouses
Ben's first greenhouse back in 78' was made from found telegraph poles. Many experiments since then including a 3 booth quarrantine in the 80's.
Todays greenhouse solutions involve Ben's greenhouse growing experience with Sam's building and techo experience. The journey continues.

Ben believes in teaching others. Hundreds of successful growers learned from his expertise.

Still Growing Strong
